Words Their Way is phonics, spelling, and vocabulary instruction through daily word study. This program will provide skill instruction that will cover spelling patterns and focus on examining and manipulating words, not memorizing them.
A2’s Words Their Way Weekly Spelling Homework Routine Monday Night: Word Sort (Use the word sheet that was sent home in your Home Folder) 1. Cut out the words from your spelling word sheet. 2. Sort all of the words into categories. 3. Write each spelling category in a different column on your Monday Night Homework Sheet.
Words Their Way teaches phonics,. Students will be assigned a particular type of sort to do on a nightly basis for homework. They will bring their bag of words home to do the sort, but they MUST return the words to school in order to complete the classroom spelling activities.. There will be directions sent home that tell you what kinds.
